Claire Nagle's small stone cottage is along the
Dingle way, nestled against a hillside overlooking the Blasket Islands,
a perfect place for peace. The expanse of sky and water, the Blasket
Islands floating serene offshore, a gentle silence broken only by birdsong,
all are here. There are walking trails up both Croaghmarhin and Mt.
Eagle. Along the way, the path is thick with wildflowers: the early
primrose, celandine, the spotted orchid, foxglove, carpets of thrift,
rafts of yellow iris, and the fuschia.
This three bedroom cottage is compact, with the living room and kitchen
combined, with all modern conveniences, including central heating. Flowerpots
line the cobbled yard outside. The adjoining field is a perfect place
to spend an afternoon. Attached is Claire's own stone house where she
offers home-style B&B, where a fresh fruit bowl accompanies a full Irish
breakfast.
